In Manual Therapy the therapist or physician uses their hands only for diagnosis and therapy. This method allows for very specific and precise localization and adjustment of any malfunction in the musculoskeletal system.

Similarly to manual therapy, osteopathy is also a manually implemented treatment, but substantially more comprehensive in the consideration of the interdependencies of all physical and energetic structures. This allows a determination and treatment of a dysfunction tracking the symptom through all involved structures to its cause. In many cases it is advised to include osteopathy in the manual therapy.
