Manual Therapy

For unrestricted and painless joint function

Manual Therapy

In Manual Therapy the therapist or physician uses their hands only for diagnosis and therapy. This method allows for very specific and precise localization and adjustment of any malfunction in the musculoskeletal system.

Examinations such as X-ray and laboratory testing provide limited findings, which makes manual checkup and treatment of pain syndromes indispensable.

Manual Therapy is ideally suited to achieve the highest possible pain-free mobility. It is particularly useful for the following conditions:

  • Jaw Joint Disorders / Craniomandibular Dysfunction (CMD)
  • Cervical Syndrome
  • Lower Back Pain / Lumbalgia
  • Prolapsed disc  / disc protrusion
  • Rib misalignment
  • Periarthropathia Humeroscapularis (PHS)
  • Impingement Syndrome
  • Epicondylitis (tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow)
  • Injuries and pain in finger, hand, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, foot and toes
  • Joint inflammation (arthritis, rheumatoid, posttraumatic)
  • Arthrosis (i.e. knee, hip, thumb / Rhizarthrosis, Hallux Limitus and Hallux Rigidus (Big Toe Joint)
  • Post surgical conditions

Note:
Similarly to manual therapy, osteopathy is also a manually implemented treatment, but substantially more comprehensive in the consideration of the interdependencies of all physical and energetic structures. This allows a determination and treatment of a dysfunction tracking the symptom through all involved structures to its cause. In many cases it is advised to include osteopathy in the manual therapy.
